Nintendo and its partners have a lot of exciting games in development right now, the problem is we don’t really know anything about them or the status of each project. Most anticipated titles include Bayonet 3, Metroid Prime 4 and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2.

For a few years now, Hideki Kamiya has been telling us how Bayonetta the third outing is going very welland regarding Metroid Prime 4, we get regular updates on the project via job postings on the Nintendo website. When it comes to Breath of the Wild 2, there has been a first look trailer and not much else.

Could Nintendo of America President Doug Bowser tell us a bit more about these upcoming projects? It seems not. In the same interview with Polygon, he was asked about the current status of these titles and, in classic Nintendo fashion, has nothing to share at this time. When they are ready to be revealed, they will be. We assume it’s some kind of update…

Here is the full exchange:

Polygon: I realize there’s very little you could possibly say about these tracks, but there were a few tracks that basically went super quiet. I wanted to see if there was anything you could share regarding their status. Specifically: Bayonet 3, Metroid Prime 4and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2.

Doug Bowser: You’ve been following Nintendo long enough to know that as we progress on any title, and we feel it’s the right time, we’ll share with the community where we are in development. At this point, however, I have nothing more to share on these titles.

Based on recent developments regarding each of these games, we are going to take a wild guess and say Bayonetta 3 is the one we’ll see first. As already noted, it has been in development for several years now – so I hope it is ultimately ready to go next year. Crossed fingers.

When do you think we will know more about the status of these projects? Do you expect to see any soon? Tell us below.
