Demi Lovato from Texas is set to host E 2020! Audience Award

Next to take center stage is Demi Lovato. The Texas native will host the 2020 E! People’s Choice Awards this year, a decision which was announced during a friendly exchange on Twitter on Tuesday.

“We can keep a secret, could you, @ddlovato? Do you have any plans for Sunday November 15? ” E ! News tweeted to the singer.

In response, Lovato tweeted, “idk…maybe hosting @peopleschoice?!?!? #PCAs.”

A five-time People’s Choice Awards winner and 12-time nominee in major categories, including Favorite Female Artist and Favorite Music Fan, it’s safe to assume that Lovato was surely people’s choice when it came to selecting a host. . (Look what I did there?)

News, Live Events & Lifestyle Digital, said in a statement, as reported by Brett Malec of E!. “Her authentic presence and dynamic talents will make for an unforgettable evening.”

From debuting with her ballad “Anyone” at the Grammy Awards to performing the national anthem at Super Bowl LIV in Miami, Lovato has been at the top of her game this year. And ending the year as host of an awards show that is expected to honor some of the biggest names in the industry is also a nice addition.

The People’s Choice Awards airs Sunday, Nov. 15 at 9 p.m. on E!.
